The lecture

Two years ago when I was invited to do this lecture it was a high point of my career. It is a memorial lecture for someone who wrote about probation many years ago and had quite an impact. I worked with him for a time in Sheffield and liked his contribution.

When I was invited two years ago it was the 16th lecture in the series. I had not long been diagnosed and thought that if I had not got invited soon I would miss out. So am glad to return for the second time since I did mine three years ago.

It's a lovely gathering, you meet up with old friends and enjoy the stimulus of the lecture. Long drive but worth it.
