Walking ........

Today six of us recce'd a walk for the club.  We are trying to get as many recce's done as we can during this month.

We travelled up to Pitlochry and had rolls and coffee at the Pitlochry Theatre, then drove to the start of our walk, near the River Tummel.  The drivers then had to take the cars to the end of the walk, and bring one back, so that we had transport at the end.

We walked in beautiful deciduous forest along to the river, then along the River Garry; then followed it all the way to the Soldier's Leap at Killiecrankie.  Had our sandwiches at the visitor centre, then walked along the road for a bit before crossing over the main road and walking up on the path to Craigower.  Finished at the Pitlochry Golf Club.  I took the picture on the way down to the golf club. 

After retrieving the other car at the start of the walk, we had drinks and then dinner at the golf club.  Just a brilliant day.

And the weather was so kind, it stayed at 19 or 20C all day, and sunny too!
