Roller in Italy

We headed west today from our rural hotel south of Pavia in northern Italy.  Birds were generally quite scarce today, but the Roller was one of our key objectives; we finally managed to see it late in the afternoon.  It was distant (73 meters according to the image data--ca. 220 feet), so please excuse the  lack of sharpness. We did manage to see an unusual number of butterfly species--42 according to the evening count.

The map location is less of a guess than the past two days, but still approximate.
