Along the feeder

This title will probably sound a bit strange to the uninitiated but easy to explain.

As the threat of rain this morning came to nothing, I decided to go on my favourite local walk.

From Broxburn, through East Burnside (where I was brought up), on to the banks of the Union Canal and along to the Victorian Aquaduct at Linn's Mill.

Then, down the steps and under the aquaduct to join the path that runs alongside the 'feeder'. This is a small stream that 'feeds' the canal, emptying just East of the aquaduct.

The path eventually takes you into Almondell Country Park at the Nelson Mandela Bridge (pictured).

Usually then stop for a coffee at the Visitor Centre which was shut for some internal work and supposed to re-open by Easter Weekend.

Was a bit disappointed to find it's still closed so no dose caffeine to keep me going!!

Not sure what's wrong here and hope it's sorted very soon.

Took just a short break before heading back home via the main gate and down Drumshoreland Road to Broxburn.

Took me two hours which is just about average. Most enjoyable.
