Aurora Australis

Here's the southern lights! Just like the northen hemisphere has northen lights, we have them too.

With the skies so clear in the current frost, it was only a matter of time til I finally seen an Aurora, having heard so much about them over the years tonight was the first one. Ever.

Noki was kind enough to come out taking pictures with me after I couldn't find any company, this was her reward. She was also kind enough to pose for pictures in front of the lights.

Temperature was around -8 and some areas had a bitter wind on top of that, we quickly left those places to find shelter. Settling on this spot but still being quick because I didn't have gloves we soon headed back to the warmth of the fire and comfort of the sofa.
