Cathedral quarry (and Little Langdale on Extras)

A visit to little Langdale area today gave us some great landscapes and a visit to Cathedral quarry, the quarry is always a great place, but the large hole in the wall makes it very difficult to expose the shot. By placing the hole behind the huge central column, a good exposure can be achieved without blowing any highlights. A fisheye lens also allowed me to get almost the whole of the quarry into the one shot.

The "extras" is of Little Langdale tarn, where we waited ages for the glimmers of light on this shot.
