Tree Fungus

Our Wednesday walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers was a linear one from Dunblane to Bridge of Allan.

We met in Bridge of Allan and took a bus over to Dunblane, from where we started our walk. Most of it followed the route of the Darn Road, a fairly rough track to begin with and which is reputed to date from Roman times. The walk leader added a couple of extra loops to extend the walk to around 7 miles, our usual Wednesday distance. 

Spotted this tree fungus as we walked near the Allan Water on the latter part of the walk.

Back in Bridge of Allan we all enjoyed a 'fish tea' at the excellent Allanwater Cafe before driving home.
