My beautiful babies

The baby arrived late on Thursday, 31st May - two hours shy of his actual due date. It was a relatively 'quick' labour, as contractions started at 4:45pm on the Thursday and by the time we got to the hospital 45 minutes later (and hitting traffic all the way there no less) I was 8-9cms dilated.

Although the first stages of labour progressed quickly, the second stage was anything but, and after an hour and a half of pushing (and I was exhausted to say the least) it was decided to take me down to theatre and try a forceps delivery - failing that another c-section (so I was more than prepared, and expected it to go down the c-section route), but thankfully forceps (or salad servers as they call them!) worked and my beautiful baby boy was born!

Today has been the only day I've picked up my camera in order to take some piccies - I have taken pics on the iPhone since his birth, but I really wanted to take the opportunity to get some 'proper' photos of him, as even just in the midst of being nine days new he's changing everyday, so I want to capture as many moments as possible, as I did with Luc first time round.

So, yes sorry I haven't been blipping much since, or seeing all your wonderful posts yet, but I have my hands full ;)
