excerpts from a life

Socrates

Yay 100. entry!

This quote is from my Philosophy 101 reading, Book 1 of the Republic by Plato which focuses mainly on what justice is and how it is served. I sadly find this quote a very accurate representation of the society we live in, especially the people who find themselves infallible.

This is not how healthy persons or societies exist, grow and learn. I've heard things similar to this very often throughout my life, and as a milestone, I think this should be remembered: even though you're pretty sure you won't change your mind, listen.

Most people are not against you, they are for themselves.
