This is my friend D sitting in the new area with cemented in rocks at Littlehampton. They've really altered the area by the river there. We had a great lunch - ate far too much, including a wonderful fish pie, so had to do a fair bit of walking afterwards to make up for it! The wind was still chilly, the sun very hot, so layers needed.

Tomorrow I have to pack to go over to Dad's overnight. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is on so it will make travel very difficult and he wants to come over here for his ninetieth birthday celebration on Saturday. So we will travel back here on Saturday morning - saves having to do the journey in both directions when it's ridiculously busy. We're not having a big celebration as that's not what he wants - especially as he can't see who people are and it makes it difficult, but it will still be special. We have balloons and banners, so he will be able to see the colours even if he can't read them.
