Lucky week

I need to document this, as a lucky week with lots happening!   Today my C flew to San Francisco and Yosemite for a 15 day holiday with her father.  I shall miss her.  On Tuesday we had to race up and down the mountain so she would be fit enough to hike in Yosemite - teens and their last minute stuff!  Today we went to groom precious Moet and C couldn't resist a little ride.

On Wednesday - during the loudest rain I've heard in ages we tried to roll out the first of our Future You! programme at a massive school in a very poor community - most of the kids didn't pitch because of the rain, which was disappointing; but in the end rather a blessing as most of our trainers didn't arrive either!  Nothing was wasted as we learned so much about how we need to proceed into the next of our 4 pilot schools.

And this evening I went to a wonderful meeting hosted by the UCT business school who were showcasing innovative social programmes in healthcare.   If you have time and want to see some incredible documentaries about infectious diseases in Africa go to the Aljazeera website and click on Lifelines - the series of 8 documentaries were filmed by my partner in Future You!
