Our life with Autism

Bedouin Tent

It's been a difficult week as it always is when Chris is off school and Tony is not off with us.
Today Chris was up at 3.45. At 9.30 I thought it was time to start showers etc but Chris was having none of it he just wanted to go to the toilet and have a wash and get dressed, that's fine by me I thought but it took me three hours to actually get him off the couch and into the downstairs toilet, to say it was draining was an understatement.
Apart from respite on Wed from 3pm to 10am I've had no time to myself, so I am looking forward to Monday when they both go back to school.

Rach has been a star as usual, stuck in except going out with Nan and Grandad on Thurs and although she does have a moan she accepts that's the way it is and gets on with it, she gets the backlash of my frustration.
Tonight we built a tent in her room for her to sleep in.
Tony is off tomorrow so if all goes to plan we are going to the art gallery to see the Rolf Harris "Do you see it yet" exhibition.
