My big day

After months of reading and judging and a lot of worrying, the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Award Ceremony finally arrived! The host was Mel Giedroyc who was great and very friendly, Katya (daughter 2) was delighted to be allowed to hang out with us and to get a selfie and autograph! My speech went well and the atmosphere was really nice. Great buzz! SparseRunner was also there and blipped about it too
