China Bell

Blame Ellisroger for this, his blip today persuaded me to buy and try the photogene app for the iPhone. Since there was no escape from visitors today, and I was confined to home, I had to make do with my mothers bell, which she used to keep on the hall table for as many years as I can remember. It was brought back from the Orient by my eldest brother, John, who eventually joined the Military Police after fifteen years in the Royal Navy. I suppose he was institutionalised in a way, either that or he had a severe case of OCD because I have never seen shinier shoes or tee shirts with such parallel creases. He died in Australia so this object is a link to both him and my mum and sits on my study window sill.

I liked the photo gene app and I am sure once I have become used to it it will prove worth the splendid sum of 69p. It apparently also does collages so the hydrangeas will get a hammering tomorrow.
