I'm still at the conference in Aberdeen, where the skies are still grey.

My favourite session today was focused on iSquares. This is a piece of arts-informed visual research. The pictures blipped here represent some of the data collected for the project. The presentation was fascinating in itself, but it was the discussion that followed that was really interesting. This included much debate on themes such as the nature of research data, the role of metaphor in the communication of concepts, and researcher agency.

Over the course of the day my team delivered another two of our six accepted papers. This leaves one more for tomorrow morning. Then our mission here will be accomplished and we can head back home to Edinburgh.
