Weighed down

Boo! The nonstop rain today has flattened all the poppies in the garden. Fingers crossed it hasn't ruined the buds still waiting to burst open...

Because of the rain I have stayed put today. After tackling the mountain of ironing, I watched and enjoyed a programme I heard Ken Bruce recommending, called 'Keys to the Castle'. It is a charming documentary about a couple in their 80s as they prepare to leave the castle they bought as a ruin 40 years ago. 

The forecast for us here in Central Scotland looks slightly better for tomorrow, then back to rain on Sunday. Let's hope they've got it wrong.
