Cow Day

This is most of the young cattle (males and females aged between 1 and 3) at the farm where we manage the livestock. We have drawn off the four 3 year old heifers and put them in with the cows. We then walked this lot all the way out to the back of the hill to a large fenced park there that will keep them away from the bull. We took out 3 cows that wont go with the bull and put them out the way and then we put the bull out. All in glorious sunshine.

In the morning in the pouring rain we put our bull out and moved his bullock friend and the last cow to calve to a field far away from the others. This cow is to have no more calves. Also managed to get down the road to a farm that sells dog food as we were out.
