The Calm After the Storm

Having the biggest breakfast ever here, which was difficult to eat after a sleepless night and feeling nervous for the unexpected second part of our journey. Trying to eat as much as we could not to offend the lovely owner of the B&B, we rushed to get ready and left for the bus to the ferry port.

Upon arriving at the ferry terminal, we could hardly believe we'd almost made it. After an hour on the choppy North Sea, we arrived in Orkney. We may have brought the rain with us, but there was nothing better than seeing my boyfriend there waiting for me. Funnily enough, he was standing a few metres away from my new friend's boyfriend.

Certainly an adventure that won't be forgotten any time soon.
