Living colour

A quick trip to Romsey this afternoon to pick up a prescription before the pharmacy closed.  I made it with minutes to spare only to learn that the medication I expected was not there.
But my journey was not wasted, because I then had time to make my way through the town centre and capture this view of the one-time coaching inn, the White Horse, now the town’s principal hotel.
But it is the prominence of views like this which really gives me a kick. The town centre has a profusion of flowers — planted baskets and planters providing vivid living  colour everywhere you turn.
In this instance it  brings life to the Market Place, and choose your spot, you get an entirely different perception of everything round you, and particularly any photographic target you have in mind.

My congratulations to the townspeople who have seen to it that living colour is a byword of the town.
