A splendiferous sunset

Just looking down the road. The pines to the right are huge. If you are able to look at this picture in large, you might see the little white house in the middle of the picture at the bottom. That house is not small at all. The ceilings of the rooms are 12 feet high and then you have to add the roof to get an idea of the total hight.This might help to get a feel for these enormous pines. They will only stand until the owner of that lot decides to build a house on it. Then they will be cut down. I so wish I could protect them, they must be really old.
Another wonderful summer day has gone by. In downtown Florence the tourist numbers have increased, the restaurants all have their tables on the sidewalk, happy 'campers' everywhere, the little colored windmills are rotating in the afternoon breeze, blue sky, happy relaxed faces, it is a picture to remember....An atmosphere like 50 years ago in Holland near the beach of the Northern Sea...
