With the forecast of a 'monster swell' courtesy of a massive storm, supposedly the 'size of Australia' in the southern Indian Ocean, I headed to one of my usual beaches to see what was on offer. The waves certainly did appear bigger, but the giveaway was the huge number of surfers at a beach which usually attracts fishing folk.
