Burnt timber being removed from Argus Lofts.

This follows the major fire that took place on 11 June.

This is a large block of flats/lofts converted from the old Argus newspaper printing works after a fire destroyed all but the attractive brick façade of the building some years ago.

This fire broke out on timber decking on the roof of one of the top-floor flats, allegedly started by a cigarette end.  No-one was hurt, a relief for me as my daughter and her family live in one of the apartments.

Who in their right mind puts wood on a roof?

The extra blip is little grandson taking his Thomas the Tank Engine sun-suit for a zip around The Level in Brighton.
