Rose of Sharon

A hot and sunny day, some cool breezes now and again, but rather too hot to sit for long on the balcony.
 
The wine did not arrive and I doubt it will be here before Monday at the earliest; if that is the situation then so I shall put a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for this evening.

Today’s picture is of the only Rose of Sharon flower, so far, that has opened; there are a great many more buds still to open. We call this shrub Rose of Sharon, but others call it St John’s Wort; whatever its name and despite the fact that it is yellow, it is still my picture for today, complete with small bugs and beetles.
