8+1@7

A good day - the eight was out on the water after a three weeks break. We were a bit worried yesterday evening, as the wind forecast was not good at all, but happy this morning that the lake was perfectly flat. The whole crew of 8+1 arrived punctually at 7 am and we had a good, technical training session. Best of three, so far :-)  

As mentioned, it was only our third session on the eight, with a slightly changing crew. As we are usually used to scull (with 2 oars), it's a bit of change to rowing (with 1 oar only). Our main challenge is to keep the boat in a good balance. 

The ambition still is to row to Kreuzlingen/Konstanz in autumn and back, i.e. the marathon distance. We'll see if we are ready by then or not. There is no pressure and if we don't feel confident, we'll go with sculling boats instead.
