Touristy Friday

What a treat to spend Friday in London with the aviation girlies for a touristy day out. Four hours exploring the Imperial War Museum and we were in our complete element with so many aviation and automotive related exhibits.

We'd put the date in our diaries about a month ago to visit 'Fashion on the Ration, dressing in the 1940s' as we love all things vintage. It runs until 31 August so I highly recommend a visit if vintage fashion is your thing.

The exhibition was wonderfully curated and Jules who once worked as a seamstress in the National Theatre gave us some insider knowledge as we walked through the displays.

A gentle stroll along South Bank early evening followed by a chilled glass of wine made for a very civilised Friday. We walked 10k in total so refreshment was much welcomed.

Later in the evening Jackie and I had a long soak in her hot tub, which finally cured my persistent headache! Note to self, put relaxing 'days out' in the diary more often!
