Backlit Bee

Taken from "my spot" in my garden on what turned out to be a beautifully sunny afternoon. I would normally have used the macro facility on my great wee Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ20 (my beloved "Nicky" Nikon D300s being now in it's 7th week of repair), but this would have necessitated the unacceptably radical step of leaving my chair, so I did it on maximum zoom instead. Not as good as the picture would have been, but I'm more chilled out. It's all a matter of balance and compromise. And sheer laziness. Underexposed a bit to make the dark backround more obvious in a contre-jour sort of way.
