Local Beekeeping.

I am excited that I'll be able to meet a local beekeeper at nearby Billingsgate Farm.
The Cape Cod Co-operative venture has probably dissolved, I think. Unless I hear soon.
I suspect the owner has decided to sell the land.
So, I am not planning to start a hive until next year now. Even if I obtain a swarm, I feel it will soon be too late in the season to expect the colony to be strong for next winter.
