Family Afternoon

It was Sports Day at school this morning - long and tiring but I was home by half past one.

Then a quick turnaround to get ready for a family photoshoot which my brother and sister-in-law had got for my mum for her birthday earlier this year. It wasn't as bad as we thought it would be but both N and I were out of our comfort zones, much preferring to take photos rather than be in them and be told to, "Go with the fun of it!"

After that we had a lovely family meal with all seven of us. My (almost) five-year-old niece was a star all afternoon - both for the photos and in the restaurant.

A quiet evening planned... and well-needed too!
