Cormorant in flight
Most days, there is one lone Cormorant feeding at our beach and this one is an expert at catching eels. He waits until the tide starts to come in and then swims around under the water in the rock pools and you can be sure that he will nearly always catch an eel or small fish. Apparently, flying is a struggle for them due to their having short wings which are necessary to create less drag when they are swimming under water.
