Summer sky

Sitting outside this morning, I was struck by the huge amount of aircraft activity - it was really noisy, particularly helicopters. So I thought a picture of a helicopter in the summer sky would be just the thing for my blip today. Of course as soon as I had fetched the camera the skies cleared and so you have just sky to look at.
Despite living between Gatwick and Heathrow we don't have too much trouble from commercial aircraft. However Concorde used to fly over here every evening on its way into Heathrow and on hearing its distinctive noise we often used to go outside to watch it pass by. Such a beautiful plane. It was a sad day when it was withdrawn.
