Garabit Viaduct

Constructed in 1882-1884 by Gustave Eiffel; when built it was the highest bridge in the world at 124 metres above the valley. We made a special detour to see the bridge on our way down south. However, coming back north on the same route we got a perfect view from the autoroute and there is even a rest area that overlooks it.
