Three Peaks

So I could have posted a picture of one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, I could have posted a picture of me at 8am this morning which according to my colleagues I was a strange grey colour looking like I was probably not going to make it.

But frankly neither of those pictures would encapsulate today. So I've posted a picture of me, 9 hours 35 minutes after I started walking at 7am this morning, at the end, having completed the 26 miles, three peak trek two hours and 25 minutes quicker than the target. I am ecstatic, elated and frankly really really proud of what I have achieved.

I may never do this walk again, although already I would like to do sub nine hours. It has to be one of the most mentally and physically challenging things I have ever done. The climbs were horrible, two scrambling up the peaks one that took 1 and a half hours of relentless uphill climb. The downhills almost as painful.

That's the Yorkshire three peaks done. A challenge I will never ever forget.
