Five Years
This blip sums up a big part of our lives over the past 5 years and I don't think we ever expected it to go the way it has. We showed the first community cinema film 5 years ago tomorrow to test the waters - "The Wizard of Oz". It was a success and kicked off the 5 years of films we've had so far.
To the back centre, on the wall is a picture of the community film we made that led to the idea of a cinema. On the right of the doors is our second film that took over our lives for 18 months - and what fun that was! To the rear left and front right the equipment we spent much time pondering and grant money on. All around the shelves the posters of our 102 films we've shown and we are all sitting in a hall that just feels friendly and cosy.
In the middle... our audience, many of whom attended our first film 5 years ago and are about to watch "What We Did On Our Holiday". There's nothing quite like watching a film with friends, new and old, and every so often along comes a film that everybody loves - we like to call them Moorflix Moments!
Tonight was one of those moments, just the ticket for this anniversary, full of laughs and touching moments and a 5 out of 5 bean score from everyone!! Happy Birthday Us!
