Amber Nectar

In the heat of the morning, the sun beating down, my lavender patch  humming with copious amounts of bees - I was in heaven. Summer has arrived. I was also awash with small tortoiseshell butterflies flitting lazily over the spikes digging deep for the nectar. Thank goodness...I was despairing of them getting here. They may be common but for all that they have the most vibrant coloured wings  which I love and this has an amazing golden eye; probably the way in which it caught the light but I still liked it.

Out celebrating  this afternoon #1 daughter landing a new job ahead of a staggering number of applicants which is thrilling news. Feel an afternoon tea with bubbles is called for. Proud Mum here .
