Newt Larvae

The pond is full of these baby newts.  They are truly tiny. Five would easily fit onto a teaspoon and still have room for a little one.  I was going to take some duck weed off the pond but having found eight larvae in the first scoop of the net I've decided to leave it.  

I've put a few of the ones I caught in a little tank and am scooping up Daphnia, water fleas, from the pond to feed them.  They will live happily there, so I can get some better shots but, they'll be going back into the pond as soon as I'm done.
