The Dancing Girls' Tea Party
Outside, it was raining buckets and buckets. The Dancing Girls had been out dancing in the rain, as they are wont to do. There are lots and lots of them on the bush now, so we have plenty of friends around. So we decided to have a tea party inside and invite several of our friends to join us.
Several months ago, I received a marvelous gift through the mail from a friend I have not met yet: a beautiful little tea set with dancing bunnies on the side. They do look just like those wild bunnies who frequently dance through our yard. (And the tea set is just the sort of thing you might expect to be used by the hospitality crew on Bunway Airlines.)
And so we got out the little tea set, and we had a lovely party. There were Dancing Girls on steeds, Dancing Girls atop the teapot, and Dancing Girls perching (not unlike Humpty Dumpty) on the edges of the tea cups themselves - careful, girls, don't fall in! And of course, their four fast friends, the Crittergators, joined in the festivities!
The song that I've selected to accompany this photo of the Dancing Girls' tea party is a favorite: Martina McBride, with This One's for the Girls.
P.S. A shout-out and big thank you to my friend Mary O for the tea set! It is just lovely, and you knew we'd put it to good use! :-)
P.P.S. Here's a bonus: an outtake from a prior tea party photo shoot, featuring the infamous Tabzilla.
