Dong

I forgot how in Vietnam people are much more aggressive with trying to rip you off. Luckily I have been here numerous times so I know what my dong can get me. It ALWAYS confuses me how people (and let's face it, it's usually taxi drivers) can justify morally knowingly trying to rip people off in the context of their own religious beliefs and doctrines, which would normally expect them not to do it. Always especially surprising where people are likely to be Buddhist, which espouses a non-material and therefore non-money driven way of life.

*this followed some vociferous arguments at Ho Chi Minh City airport with drivers trying to charge ten times the real price.
