No Show

I went to Speke Hall as usual this morning. There were only 8 people on the first tour and 2 on the second one. I was on the third tour and no-one turned up for that one at all. Oh the ignominy of it. The silver lining was that I came home early and after lunch we walked up to the walled garden.

It is looking really good at the moment. I got talking to this gentleman with the wheelbarrow who was one of the founding fathers way back in the 1990s. He and his fellow volunteers should be very proud of what they have achieved and this wonderful amenity which they have saved for the community.
