Bangers at Bamburgh

A visit to Bamburgh Castle coincided with the start of the Rust2Rome banger rally. The event, which takes place every year, involves participants buying a car for less than £500 and driving it four and a half thousand miles across Europe to Rome over nine days.

Apparently it's a cross between the Italian Job, Casino Royale and Top Gear using challenging and twisty mountain roads which pushes the cars and drivers to the limits. 

I would love to do this in 2016 but would need a good mechanic!

The castle was impressive, the cafe served superb crab sandwiches and the sun was shining.
