Cow Pat Challenge

Today was the much publicised cricket fundraising event 'The Cow Pat Challenge'. A cow was released on a carefully cordoned off square area on the recreation ground, and the first place it dropped a 'Pat' was the winning square.  (Over 2000 tickets had been sold which related to the areas on the square).

It was a novel idea, though I don't think the cow was altogether happy and did a lot of loud protesting and a lot of galloping around before delivering a rather splattery 'pat', around 45 minutes after release.

It was VERY entertaining watching the farmer trying to get the cow back into it's crate whilst watching the organisers carefully measuring the area around the cow pat and negotiating the electric fence.

The winner gets £1,000!
