Our roses are very late to flower, but who needs them when the hedgerows are so generous with drifts of these beauties?

In the rain this morning we took the FCG to Braehead at his request so he salivate in the Apple store while we had a coffee and a long chat - we always have to catch up on so much.  In the afternoon the FCG and I walked my bike to his Dad's house to borrow his bike and bike back - but it needed a repair so we left it in the bike shop, and yes, we walked my bike back home again.  There was one point when I got on my bike and he ran alongside.  The fields and hedgerows are astonishingly in their embarrassment of wild flowers.  I may be mistaken, but I think the cows are happier striding through the seas of buttercups.
