Scullpture
The Newcastle section of the Hadrian's Wall Path is full of riverside sculptures, but there isn't always a lot of information about them. This one, by David McMillan, is helpfully described as "sculpture", but I think it probably relates to the area's engineering past.
There is a lot of industrial archaeology on this part of the walk, and I have put in an extra picture of the Wylam Waggonway. This was once used for horses to pull wagons full of coal, and it was also the place where George Stephenson began his railway career.
