Wall of History
This is part of the wall surrounding Watergrove Reservoir on the outskirts of Rochdale.
The reservoir was built during the 1930s, but it necessitated the submergence of the small village of Watergrove.
This wall incorporates names and date stones from various long lost buildings along with some of their architectural features. A nice idea.
When there is a prolonged dry spell, the lower water level reveals some of the old village roads.
