Leaving

The day before we leave, as we are tomorrow for a week's trip back to Belfast, is always both happy and sad.  Garden neat and tidy (all three gardens, actually front, back and behind the barn), house cleaned, bags packed, waiting for the off.  So, a sense of satisfaction, place looking great, but sad to leave.  Happy too, of course, to be going back to see friends and family and also looking forward to getting back here again.  One good thing is that we will miss the canicule. From tomorrow temperatures of around 40 degrees are forecast.  So we have a team of volunteer garden waterers lined up for when we are away.
