Times Of My Life

Good Year For The Roses

I love that Elvis Costello song.  So full of sadness and longing, but also typically British sang-froid; 'keeping your chin up-ness'.

When I got home tonight it was humid but cooling down, and the scent from the roses and the honeysuckle was delicious.

This climbing rose was planted a couple of years ago, and due to Rocky eating the plastic tag which told me what it was, I have no idea of its name. It is covered in buds and the smell really is divine.

Found out today that two of the dead from Tunisia are Perthshire people; a couple who lived in a village of similar size to mine, just a few miles away.
