Early morning splendour
Unusually for me I woke around 4.30am and I noticed that it was quite light outside but also very orange!
My curiosity got the better of me and I was so pleased I ventured outdoors to witness a beautiful sunrise. The air was crisp, the birds singing and the sky a palette of colour.
Later in the day I heard someone from the National Trust speak about one of their co founders Octavia Hill. How apt a quote of hers
" There are indeed many good things in life which may be unequally apportioned and no such serious loss arise; but the need of quiet, the need of air, and I believe the sight of sky and of things growing, seem human needs, common to all men."
