Evesham Balloon Festival

This afternoon was the Evesham (Hot Air) Balloon Festival, stalls, beer tents, vintage cars, live music, kites and flags; plus a fun fair for the kiddies. Unfortunately it didn't include balloons! They were cancelled at the last minute due to yesterday's high winds and rain. Although the weather was much better today, the balloons were still off.

So it was still a good crowd that turned out; and the setting is very nice with the river to one side and the abbey to the other.

I took lots of photos and found it difficult to choose one. I think this maybe sums up the colour and feeling of the event. Some of the other photos can be seen at - Evesham Balloon Festival 2012.

Afterwards we went back to our friends Jo and James' house for a 'picnic' (we couldn't risk the great outdoors, although it probably would have been OK).
