On the turn

Sorry, I couldn't resist one last barley field, partly because I was given the opportunity by a kind person, partly because although this looks wonderfully soft in the low light, it's very clear things are on the turn. This has not been helped by the dry weather of course.  Also the time of summer.  I've been told that hay is already cut down on the water meadows so I might go have a look in the next couple of days, if I get the time!
