Building Sn3 and N Worlds

The real deal

Today I rode my bike north of town on a training ride, and stopped at a bridge where the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad passes underneath. Great location and after the climb up the highway shoulder ( about 1,100 feet climb) a good place to catch my breath.

I am about a month and a half behind on my bike training so it felt good. This hill where the train passes underneath is called Shalona, after a ranch and lake near by. It is about. 24 mile round trip for me and like 11/2 hour round trip ride. The climb is not easy, but the way home is a hoot - let the big dogs out on the descent. No problem to hit high 30's mph.
