Officially the hottest day of Summer so far!!

Having had no heating on the coldest day of Winter last year, today we went to the opposite extreme and, on the hottest day of Summer so far (28c!), had the heating on full blast! All part of the joys of having a new central heating boiler fitted!!

So to avoid the chaos, heat and dust at home, after book club I walked through the leafy park, and along the river, where I met this little flutterby who joined me in sheltering from the heat of the midday sun...

It may not have the most colourful wings for a flutterby, but if you look closely, you'll see it has a beautiful, iridescent fluffy body!!
